What data we process
We only process the data you provide to us or that is essential for the website to work:
- Contact form: name, email address, company (optional), the service you are interested in and your message.
- Website chat (Nova): the messages you write in the conversation.
- Voice demo: when it is active and you start a conversation, your voice and the call transcript. Your browser will ask for permission to use the microphone.
- Technical data: the IP address and connection data that the server records automatically for security reasons.
Why we use it
We use your data to answer your enquiries, prepare quotes and keep in touch as you request, and to keep the website secure and working properly. We do not make automated decisions with legal effects on you, nor do we build marketing profiles.
Legal basis
We process your data with your consent, which you give when you submit the form, write in the chat or start the voice demo (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and to take steps at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where applicable, we also comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Who else may see your data
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. To provide our service we rely on providers acting as data processors, under the contracts required by law:
- Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.): email.
- Web3Forms: delivery of form messages to our inbox, when active.
- Vapi: the voice demo service, when active.
- The website hosting provider.
International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, for example in the United States. In such cases, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its Swiss extension.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry. If you do not go on to use our services, we delete it no later than 12 months after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep it for the duration of our relationship and, afterwards, for the periods required by law. Technical security data is deleted periodically.
Your rights
You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, object to its processing, or request its restriction or portability. Simply write to us at support@gicarnova.com, stating which right you wish to exercise.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or, in Switzerland, with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch).
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, nor any tracking tools. Should we add them in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy. When you start the voice demo, it may use the technical storage strictly necessary to set up the call.
Security and minors
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or misuse. This website is aimed at businesses and professionals and does not knowingly collect data from children under 14.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal changes or changes to our services. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
